Salmond
Fellow officer / frequent companion
Mentioned: 1917, 1918
Comrades in the field A frequently recurring companion from at least May 1917 onward: poker, cards, a walk after dinner, dinners and boxing at the Corps DOMINION DAY sports, a horse and a saddle ("Grace") lent out more than once, and a mock court-martial sat on Peake in jest (June 30). Spelled "Salmond" through most of the year and, from late November on, sometimes "Salmon" instead; treated here as the same person.
