Scotty
Acquaintance
Mentioned: 1917, 1918
Comrades in the field Recurs alongside Dunbar specifically: the two are named together on July 11 ("lunch with Dunbar & Scotty") and again on November 22 ("Dunbar & Scotty were round this morning"), four months apart, the clearest evidence this is a single, consistent person rather than a one-off. Possibly the same man as Scott Browne ("Scotty" would be a natural nickname contraction), but nothing in the text places them together or apart, so the two are kept separate here rather than merged on a guess.
