Richebourg (Richebourg-l'Avoué / Richebourg-Saint-Vaast)
Pas-de-Calais, France
Mentioned: 1918
Other Fronts (news only) A village north of Béthune, near Neuve-Chapelle. Named April 11, 1918, as two separate places lost to the German offensive ("he got Richebourg, St. Vaast & Laventie"), Richebourg-l'Avoué and Richebourg-Saint-Vaast were then still distinct communes, merging only in 1971 to form the single modern Richebourg. A distant news reference, never visited.
