Pringle / Pring (Pringle Seath)
William Pringle Seath: a fellow McGill Applied Science student (third-year Civil, a Montreal man) who enlisted alongside Robertson in February 1915, per a McGill student newspaper clipping (and a Montreal daily's fuller report of the send-off) announcing the departure of five Science undergraduates for the 21st Artillery. His service record has him as a gunner (regimental no. 85551, adjacent to S.C. Montgomery's) in the 6th Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery, with previous service in the McGill Regiment and his next of kin (J. Marshall Seath) at 55 Sussex Avenue, Montreal; he is thought to have survived the war. A friend from the very start of the diary: aboard ship crossing the Atlantic, through early training, and still turning up in early 1916.
