  • 17 April 1917… ong with him. – Got rather wet around the feet as the Scarpe valey is a bit marshy. Saw Hilary, Catchfield, Harris, Rosebrough + a bunch more. – Snowed like the deuce while we were down there.

1918

  • 28 June 1918… t very well. – Farmer around again. – He has every step the duke will take, mapped out in his head. Visited Harris at 3rd M.T.C. with Thackery.
